The Ratto family, honored with a city proclamation, will share memories and immigration stories during the Hoboken Historical Museum's "Hoboken Talks" livestream, where son John will also discuss his ongoing battle with stage 4 colon cancer.
   

• Children Can Ride NY Waterway Ferry Free For One More Month (patch.com) — Families in Hoboken can take advantage of a NY Waterway deal letting up to two children 11 and under ride free with a paying adult on ferry routes through Sept. 7. The offer covers daily service between Hoboken and several Manhattan terminals, with free connecting buses in the city, making late-summer outings or commutes more affordable.
   

• Former Hoboken Reading Supervisor Gives Back-To-School Tips (patch.com) — With Hoboken public schools set to reopen the day after Labor Day, a former district reading supervisor and longtime local educator is sharing back-to-school advice for teachers.
