After Water Main Break In Hoboken, Most Service Restored

A water main break occurred in downtown Hoboken Sunday. High rise buildings may still feel some effects, the water company said.

HOBOKEN, NJ — Veolia Water has restored water service to Second and River streets in Hoboken after a break earlier on Sunday, the company said around 6 p.m.

However, "Higher floors may experience temporary low pressure as pressure within the structure resets," the company said. The area has several residential high rises.

The break did not disrupt the Hoboken Arts & Music Festival two blocks away, nor the historic train display at the Hoboken train station.
