Saint Dominic Academy holds National Honor Society Induction

 

Fifteen Saint Dominic Academy students were recently inducted into the Siena Chapter of the National Honor Society.  NHS officers and current seniors,  President Courtney Major from Bayonne, Vice President Camille Santos, Secretary Isabel Tamayo, and Treasurer Elle Rose, all of Jersey City presided over the Induction ceremony which was held at the Academy on April 30, 2013.    

Ms. Patricia Criaris, a 1972 graduate of the Academy and also the NHS Advisor, introduced the new inductees following the Invocation, Salute to the Flag and an address by guest speaker and fellow alumna Stefanie Philips ‘07. The entire National Honor Society membership recited the NHS Pledge after each inductee received her NHS pin, presented to them by Academic Dean, Mr. John Seborowski. Saint Dominic Academy Head of School, Mrs. Barbara Griffin, made the closing remarks.

            The newly inducted members include juniors Ava Hatiras of Jersey City, Diana Reinoso of North Bergen and Melissa Winters of Bayonne.  Sophomore inductees are Bayonne residents Brittany Angrosina, Elizabeth Boyle, Vanessa Esposito, Shannon Hester, Shannon Kelley and Alexis O’Callahan.  Other sophomores inducted were Hoboken residents Toni Giacchi and Casey McIntyre, Sarah Marks of Kearny, Vergne Khloe Cabalfin of Belleville, Anamaria Carrasco of Union City and Elizabeth Doody of North Bergen.
