Attempted Murder Charge For Man In Hoboken Stabbing Outside McDonald's: Police
A Bergen County man has been charged with attempted murder after a stabbing near the Hoboken McDonald's Friday, police said.
HOBOKEN, NJ — A Bergen County man was arrested around 6:30 p.m. Friday night in Hoboken in connection with a non-fatal stabbing, police said Saturday.
Kasaun Patterson of Lodi, 42, allegedly stabbed another man in a fight outside McDonald's on Washington Street, police said.
On Feb. 9 at approximately 6:30 p.m., police responded to McDonalds, 234 Washington St., on reports of a street fight involving up to 10 people.

Some officers attended to the victim, while others investigated. They found Patterson near the scene and arrested him, they said.
"He attempted to resist arrest by stiffening his body," a police spokesperson said in a release Saturday. "A search incident to arrest located a folding knife in Patterson’s jacket pocket."

Patterson was taken to the Hoboken Police Department and charged with attempted murder, possession of a weapon for unlawful purposes, unlawful possession of a weapon, and resisting arrest.
He was processed and taken to the Hudson County Correctional Facility.
The victim was taken to an area hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries to his wrist and sternum, police said.
"I'd like to express my appreciation for the members of our department who responded quickly to this incident," said Hoboken Police Chief Steven Aguiar. "Their hard work, swift actions, courage and dedication resulted in an immediate arrest, and serves as evidence of their commitment to keeping the community safe."
Sergeants Jason Falco, Edward Sellick, and Dennis Figueroa Jr., Detectives Fabian Quinones, Connor Milne, and Ryan Houghton, and Police Officers Paul Quinn, Mark Mooreman, Nicholas Losurdo, Christopher Soto, and Ramon Estrella responded to the scene.
