Coffee And Taylor Swift: North Jersey Businesses (And Police) Share April Fool's Pranks
A Jersey City coffee shop, the Paramus Police, and a performing arts center fooled fans with their social media April Fool's pranks.
NORTH JERSEY — The perfect prank will give someone a laugh but not cause any harm. A few North Jersey businesses — and one police department — pulled off April Fool's Day jokes online on Monday.
Among them, Tree House Coffee in Jersey City, which has locations downtown and on the West Side, posted a faux announcement on social media.
"We've heard a lot of what everyone has been messaging us and saying over the years," said owner Frank Young in a video, "and we've decided to updated our hours of operation. We're going to be open 24 hours, 7 days a week....So come and visit us literally at any hour."

"Don't tease us like this otherwise I'll be there at 4 am," wrote a fan.
"It’s all fun and games until I’m caught lurking outside at 3 am with my empty cold brew jug," said another.

Another North Jersey eatery pulled a prank online, and was taken more seriously. The Millburn Deli said Sunday they were being sold to Jersey Mike's sandwich shop — then apologized for teasing "hangry" fans.
Meanwhile, the Paramus Police posted on Facebook, "We would like to welcome Cracker Barrel Country Store to Paramus. Everyone is so excited to get some 'chicken fried chicken.' Grand opening information in comments."
The comments revealed it was a joke, pleasing some commenters and frustrating others.
"That’s not funny, I was already on my way to my car," said a man named David.
And in Mahwah, they claim to have outlawed dancing. It's time to go Footloose!
Travis Kelce Performing
Meanwhile, the South Orange Performing Arts Center posted on Monday, "Travis Kelce Performing The Music Of Taylor Swift!"
The singer is currently on a break from her ongoing Eras Tour, so why not let her beau take the mic? But it's fake news.
"To make it up to you for pulling this prank, we would like to offer you 22 percent off tickets to the following shows," said the PAC, offering a discount on shows this week, using the code APRILFOOLS.
But hurry — it only lasts until midnight. (As in: "Midnight / You come and pick me up, no headlights / Long drive / Could end in burning flames or paradise...")
