Crews Work On Water Main Break In Uptown Hoboken
Crews worked on a water main break in Hoboken on Christmas.

HOBOKEN, NJ — Holiday water main breaks aren't just for Thanksgiving anymore.
Crews from Veolia Water were working on a break near 15th Street in Hoboken from the morning through the afternoon, they said.

They said in a prior Tweet, "This intersection was scheduled for repair next week; unfortunately cold temps forced the issue."

Water main breaks in Hoboken have become a periodic occurrence as the city fixes the roads and 100-year-old infrastructure. The city said that in 2021, "Hoboken had a total of 12 water main breaks, almost half the total of water main breaks in 2020."
