Fill Your Belly For Charity: Taste Of Hoboken Event Set To Return

You can sample dishes and drinks from 30 local restaurants when the popular annual charity event Taste of Hoboken returns this month.

HOBOKEN, NJ — You can sample dishes and drinks from 30 local restaurants when the popular annual charity event Taste of Hoboken returns this month.

This year's event will benefit the charity located at the former YMCA, the Hoboken Community Center, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that provides essential services and spaces for needy Hoboken residents.

The center has twice-weekly food pantry giveaways, and also offers pet supplies and toiletries to those in need.

The Taste of Hoboken fundraiser will be held outdoors this year, in Maxwell Place Park on Tuesday, June 11 from 6-9:30 p.m.

The event will feature more than 30 local restaurants, delicious drinks, live entertainment and a silent auction to support the HCC’s
three-pronged mission of a food, hygiene and pet supply pantry, affordable housing for 96 low-income men, and a 40,000+ square foot community and recreation center under rehabilitation at 1301 Washington St.

Samples of signature dishes will be served from restaurants including, Alessio’s, Anthony David’s, Antique at 112, Antique Bar and Bakery, Baked in Boken, Baking Mama, Barbès, Bin 14, Blue Eyes, Boomerang Bites, Brass Rail, Byrd, Double Dough, East Iceland Coffee Co., Fat Taco Tequila Bar, GTK, Halifax, Hudson Golf, Il Tavolo di Palmisano, Karma Kafe, La Boheme, Leo’s Grandevous, The Madison Bar & Grill, Merry Hot Cocoa, Moo Jersey, Napoli’s, Olivia’s, Orale, Otok Bakery, Shortbread Society, The Shepherd & The Knucklehead, Tony Boloney’s, UH Hoboken, and more to be announced.

Sponsors for the event include Jersey City Medical Center, Bijou Properties, Hoboken Business Alliance, St. Mary Advocates, Sunrise Commodities, Applied Housing Management, Edwards Family, Rockabill, Rockefeller Group, W Hoboken, Veolia, and Giannone Wine & Liquor Co, which will provide more than 15 wine, beer and liquor brand tastings.

Entertainment will be provided by Total Entertainment and event photography provided by Rebecca Ferrier Photography.
