Hoboken Arts Festival Canceled, But Some Concerts Will Be Held Indoors
Freedy Johnston and Alejandro Escovedo and the Rant Band will perform for free at Hoboken High School, as the arts festival is canceled.

HOBOKEN, NJ — The Hoboken Fall Arts and Music Festival has been canceled for this Sunday due to the predicted high winds. READ MORE: Inch Of Rain, Wind Gusts In Forecast For Hoboken
However, some of the planned musical performances will be held indoors.
The city posted this message on Friday:

"The Hoboken Arts and Music Festival is cancelled due to predicted wind gusts of up to 30 MPH. The city has relocated two of the free musical performances to the auditorium at Hoboken High School at 800 Clinton St. Freedy Johnston will perform from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. and Alejandro Escovedo and the Rant Band will perform from 4:30 p.m. 5:45 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 2. Doors open at 2:30 p.m."

Musicians
The Alejandro Escovedo Band was the headliner for the fair.
Escovedo has been in punk, country, and rock bands, including The Nuns, Rank and File, and True Believers.
According to the city, he's "a Mexican-American kid with Texas roots and California raising, taking on immigration issues in two continents with an Italian band ... He’s been a punk of the rebel kind in The Nuns, a cowpunk of the non-Western variety in Rank and File, commander of a guitar army in The True Believers, an orchestral conductor in his solo work."
Also, "He has collaborated with Bruce Springsteen, John Cale, Los Lobos, Peter Buck & Scott McCaughey, Los Texmaniacs, and Chuck Prophet. No Depression magazine declared him the Artist of the Decade."
