Hoboken College Students Develop Flood Tracking App

Just in time for Friday's heavy rain and reports of flooding throughout the city​, comes this app from Stevens Institute students.

HOBOKEN, NJ — Trying to track flooding in Hoboken? Now there's an app for that.

Just in time for Friday's heavy rain and reports of flooding throughout the city, comes the Environet app, a project from a team of senior design students at Stevens Institute of Technology that helps to track local flooding by level of severity.

"The app is essentially a Waze for weather, crowd-sourcing data from app users where they see flooding," a Stevens Institute spokesperson told Patch.
