Hoboken Health And Human Services Director Resigns
Leo Pelligrini, who helped steer Hoboken through the COVID pandemic, has resigned, a city spokesperson said.

HOBOKEN, NJ — The city of Hoboken on Wednesday announced that the director of Health and Human Services, Leo Pellegrini, has resigned the position after almost 14 years on the job.
Pellegrini was at the helm of the city's health services during the height of the covid pandemic. Among other duties, he helped get vaccines to the senior population.
The city will conduct a search for a new health and human services director in the coming weeks, according to spokesperson Marilyn Baer.

The city said that "in the interim," Health Officer Nancy Tarantino will serve as the head of the Division of Health, and Cultural Affairs Administrator Geri Fallo will serve as the head of the Division of Cultural Affairs.
Supervisor of Senior Citizen Activities Tom Foley serves as the head of Senior Services.

The city declined to comment on the reason for the resignation, saying the city doesn't comment on personnel matters.
