Hoboken Ice Rink Will ‘Pop Up’ In Time For Christmas 2016: Report

Wintertime in Hoboken may be tough sometimes, but it has its benefits.

HOBOKEN, NJ — Wintertime in New Jersey may be tough sometimes, but it has its benefits… such as ice skating.

A company specializing in creating “pop-up” ice skating rinks is planning to open a temporary location under the 14th Street viaduct around Dec. 20, which would will run until Feb. 28, according to HobokenInc.com.

The rink will be open daily from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m., and will be located adjacent to the new soccer pitch fields by the Bowtie Cinemas movie theater, the report stated.

Skating entertainment company Chill Entertainment will create the temporary skating facility, while Advance Realty, the company that owns the building that will soon feature a nearby Trader Joe’s grocery store, will pay $25,000 to help defray the costs, HobokenInc.com reported.
