Sabrina Browne, a 7 Seventy House resident, shares personal story with Inspiring Girls International
Sabrina Browne, a local Hoboken resident and menstrual equality advocate is featured in the #ThisLittleGirlIsMe global campaign that is sparking conversation on social media.
To mark International Day of the Girl 2021, Inspiring Girls International launched the new campaign to make women role models easily accessible to girls through social media. The goal of the campaign is for women worldwide to share photos of their younger selves with their personal stories to show girls that they can achieve their dreams and overcome life’s challenges.
After her mother’s passing when she was in middle school, Browne would go on to excel in her high school courses only for doctors to discover a brain aneurysm, she shared on LinkedIn. “#ThisLittleGirlIsMe would discover in high school that I had a brain aneurysm and would require major surgery,” said Browne. “Worldwide, there are nearly 500,000 deaths each year caused by brain aneurysms. Doctors warned I could have impaired speech, mobility, and lifelong complications. Luckily, I survived.”
