Hoboken Residents Honored For Women's History Month

The honorees included a local blogger, a former BOE member, area businesswomen and beauticians and a Hoboken Charter School student.

Hoboken, NJ – Hoboken officials honored several local women in concert with Women’s History Month during a City Council meeting last week.

During the March 16 public meeting, Mayor Dawn Zimmer and the Hoboken City Council honored local blogger Jennifer Casson Tripucka, former Board of Education member Ruthy Tyroler, small business owners Kate Jacobs, Donna Garban & Emmanuelle Morgan of Little City Books, beauticians Davida Serrano and Victoria Vazquez, and Hoboken Charter School student Rebeca Reyes.

"I am thrilled to recognize these outstanding leaders today during Women’s History Month," said Zimmer. "There is no better example of women making a difference in our community than the talented group we are honoring here today. I thank them for their selfless commitment to our community, and for serving as an inspiration to us all."
