Hoboken Students Help Homeless Shelter With Sandwich-Making Skills
These Hoboken students know that you can learn a lot about compassion by the simple act of making a sandwich.

HOBOKEN, NJ — You can learn a lot about compassion by the simple act of making a sandwich. That was the goal behind a group of HoLa Hoboken Dual Language Charter School students’ recent efforts to help their local homeless shelter.
Last month, the school’s National Junior Honor Society students organized a sandwich making service project in which all students at the middle school prepared and bagged over 150 sandwiches that were then donated to the Hoboken Homeless Shelter, according to school administrators.
