The company also posted a searchable database of 101 destinations with rankings in categories such as “The Most Affordable Party Cities” or “The Best Party Cities for Live Music”
The company said, "With an overall score of 9.3/10, Hoboken’s strengths lie in the number of bars, nightclubs and late night food venues per 10,000 people. The first and second place in the rankings also see East Coast representation with Miami Beach and Atlantic City scoring 10 and 9.44, respectively."
Florida's Sarasota and Miami claim fourth and fifth place, with total scores of 8.5 and 8.3, respectively.
Sarasota tops the rankings for number of strip clubs per population (10) and a $109.31 average hotel price (9.3), with Miami scoring high for 24-hour drinking (10) and music events (9.8).
Hoboken has no strip clubs or 24-hour drinking establishments, unless Slurpees count.
"Interestingly, New York City was ranked the worst place to party, with the Big Apple scoring five out of 10," said the release. "Seattle, Long Beach, Los Angeles and Virginia Beach made up the five worst cities out of the 101 cities in the country."
Fintan Costello, Managing Director of BonusFinder.com, said: “Everybody thinks they know where the big party towns and cities are, but more often than not those well-known cities, that
everyone automatically thinks of, can end up being a bit of an anti-climax."
Other factors were taken into account:
- Population figures for US cities according to the US Census Bureau.
- The number of music events listed on Eventbrite across a weekend (February 3rd-5th), per 10,000 people.
- The number of Bars, Hotels, Nightclubs, Casinos, Stripclubs, Late Night Food Venues on Yelp, per 10,000 people.
- The average price of a hotel on Tripadvisor.
