Hoboken's Getting 20 Delivery Robots Soon: See When, Where (patch.com) — Hoboken is about to see 20 low-speed delivery robots rolling through its south waterfront neighborhood in a yearlong pilot aimed at helping local businesses and cutting traffic. Starting Thursday, residents may spot Coco and Avride robots delivering food via popular apps, while the city gathers data on safety, emissions, and community feedback to decide whether to expand the program. Local leaders emphasize pedestrian priority, restricted zones, and clear rules to keep sidewalks safe. 
2. Scammers Con Hoboken Victim Out Of Gold Chain (patch.com) — Hoboken police are warning residents after a victim on Madison Street was tricked into surrendering a real gold chain that was secretly swapped for a fake one during a so-called distraction crime. Officers say similar jewelry scams have hit other North Jersey towns and urge locals to be wary of strangers offering gifts or getting into their personal space, and to report tips about the suspect vehicle.
3. 5 US Cities Hire Robot Called 'Dax' to Help Survey and Repair Sidewalks–Kids Love Him (goodnewsnetwork.org) — Hoboken is one of five U.S. cities now using a small robot called Dax to continuously survey sidewalks and flag spots needing repair, supporting the city's Vision Zero-style push to eliminate pedestrian deaths. The Oregon-made "Daxbot" gathers detailed data for planners while delighting kids on the street, and Mayor Emily Jabbour says pairing this tech with resident feedback will guide future safety upgrades.
