17-Year-Old Student Accused Of Sex Crimes Inside Hudson County High School

Prosecutors said a male high school student, 17, was charged with criminal sexual contact against a female student inside their high school.

HUDSON COUNTY, NJ — A 17- year-old male student was charged on Monday with two counts of criminal sexual conduct for two incidents involving a female student inside Kearny High School during the current school year, the Hudson County Prosecutor's Office announced.

The male student was taken into custody on Monday at the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office in Jersey City and released to a legal guardian pending his first court appearance, prosecutors said.

Authorities were first notified of the offenses on Tuesday, Jan. 18, the Prosecutor's Office said, and the Special Victims Unit began investigating.
