Hurricanes Franklin And Idalia Brewing; Hoboken Event Postponed

With rain in the forecast Tuesday, the Hoboken Spaghetti Block Party Dinner has been pushed to Thursday. Two big storms are brewing.

HOBOKEN, NJ — Both Tropical Storm Idalia and Tropical Storm Franklin (both predicted to become hurricanes) may cause rainy weather in New Jersey on Tuesday night and Wednesday morning, although the storms are not expected to make landfall in New Jersey.

Still, the city of Hoboken has already postponed its annual outdoor Spaghetti Block Party from Tuesday night until Thursday evening.

The city's message said:

Due to forecasted rain, the annual Spaghetti Dinner Block Party has been rescheduled for Thursday, Aug. 31. The dinner will be held along the waterfront walkway from First to Second streets from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Please contact gfallo@hobokennj.gov with additional questions.
