HOBOKEN, NJ — A new Nixle alert sent out by the city of Hoboken at 8:03 a.m. Wednesday said that Hoboken residents should still boil their water as a precautionary measure, following a water main break Tuesday near the Jersey City/Kearny border. The break also caused some Jersey City residents to go without water.
The alerts said residents should boil water for at least one minute for drinking, cooking, baking, making ice cubes, taking medication, brushing teeth, mixing baby formula or food, washing food, feeding pets, and all other consumption.
