HOBOKEN, NJ — As of Thursday, there are 13 additional cases of the new coronavirus in Hoboken, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 129. The new coronavirus outbreak in New Jersey and across the nation is having vast impacts in Hoboken, including the closure of schools and many businesses.
The number of cases of the illness caused by the virus, known as COVID-19, continue to rise and additional measures and closures continue to be announced.
Hoboken residents took to their windows on Saturday night to applaud the emergency, health, and other workers who are trying to keep residents safe amid the spread of coronavirus. MORE

The Hoboken Public School District will provide breakfast and lunch service to all students who qualify for free and reduced lunch in any of the four public school districts. Meal service will be available for pick up from 8:30-10:30 a.m. and can be picked up from the 9th Street side door (between Clinton and Grand Streets) of the Hoboken High School cafeteria.
Four registered Hoboken day care centers will be allowed to reopen to serve essential employees during the coronavirus crisis. MORE

Hoboken's Trader Joe's and Walgreen's have designated specific hours for seniors to get preference in line, so the stores are stocked and less crowded when they shop. MORE
HOSPITALS
The Riverside Medical Center testing center will open to all Hoboken residents who are eligible for COVID-19 testing. There are other testing centers in Hudson County, but this location will be more convenient for Hoboken residents.
CANCELLATIONS/CLOSURES
Because the number of Hoboken residents commuting to New York has dropped drastically amid the coronavirus spread, the local ferries, buses, and trains have cut their service. MORE
