On Sunday, NJ Transit posted a short message saying that dog and owner had been reunited.
"The dog is reunited with the owner," NJ Transit wrote on social media. "We previously asked you to share our lost dog post. Many of you shared it abroad. You helped to spread the word and return the dog home! This is what community and teamwork is all about! Thank you!"

Abroad? Was the furbaby from far-flung lands?
Well, no.
On Monday, Patch reached out to an NJ Transit spokesperson, who declined to elaborate about the owner or where the dog was from.
However, a South Orange-based animal group said the dog is named Rosa, and that she was from South Orange.
"The little dog’s name is Rosa & she was reunited with her owners yesterday, who live in S. Orange," the animal group
posted over the weekend.
A Hoboken police spokeswoman clarified on Tuesday that after the dog was found, she was placed into the care of the animal control arm of the city of Jersey City. She deferred questions to Jersey City.
Jersey City spokesperson Kim Wallace-Scalcione declined to give too many details on Tuesday, but confirmed that the dog was from the area of the Oranges.
She said the owner and dog have been invited to a public event in the near future in Jersey City.
The city plans to host an event this Friday with Mayor Steve Fulop and the Department of Health and Human Services "to celebrate the successful transition to full-service Animal Care and Control now run by the City of Jersey City" and "to ensure humane treatment and enforcement for animals in need by establishing 24/7 operations, on-site dog licensing with adoptions, longer operating hours for more adoptions, and working with the community to create a robust volunteer program."
Jersey City took over local animal control operations from the non-profit Liberty Humane Society last fall.
