Man Arrested For Hoboken Package Thefts Again
After being released from prison in Hudson County, a Hoboken man was arrested on more charges last week.
HOBOKEN, NJ — Police said that a Hoboken man was arrested last Wednesday on charges related to drug possession and package thefts, a month after being arrested for a different package theft.
Police said that on Jan. 4 at approximately 7 p.m., they recognized Angelo Gomez, 56, of Hoboken, and arrested him on two open warrants related to stolen packages from Willow Terrace on Dec. 12 and Dec. 20.
"During search incident to arrest he was in possession of CDS [controlled dangerous substance] cocaine and drug paraphernalia," police said.

Gomez was charged with theft, possession of CDS, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
He was taken to the Hudson County Correctional Facility, police said.

Gomez also had been arrested on Wednesday. Dec. 21 and charged with theft in connection with a package that was taken from the 1200 block of Bloomfield Street on Dec. 17, police said at the time. He also had an open warrant from Jersey City, they said.
At that time, he was also taken to the county jail. But in the investigation had not concluded. He was since released, then arrested again last week, Lt. Jonathan Mecka said.
