Midtown Authentic Moves Into its New Space

The clothing boutique has reopened on the second floor at 728 Washington Street

After some quick renovating work consignment clothing boutique Midtown Authentic has settled into its new space on the second floor of 728 Washington Street. The boutique was .

Owner Rory Chadwick said he moved upstairs after negotiating with the property owner. The move gives Midtown two extra showrooms for merchandise, plus a larger back office.

The second floor was formerly a medical office. The renovation work, which happened last week, included removing old carpet and installing hardwood floors. Earlier this week a sign maker painted the front door and three windows with lettering.

The new space includes two front rooms, one of which features women's clothing and the other women's shoes. A third room features men's clothing, merchandise Chadwick said he did not have space to display in the basement. The main room includes the cash register counter and several shelves with purses and accessories.

Chadwick said he will continue renovating the space. He plans on upgrading the ceiling and light fixtures.
