Dkor — "My partner David Maldonado had a business in the Chambord building that was affected by the fires this week. It's a new shop that he just opened this past year around March specializing in upholstery, party props and laser woodwork. The name of his business is Dkor and I'm hoping that you can assist us in reposting his GoFundMe on your page. It's devastating to see all that he's worked for to build through the years to finally come to fruition and be taken away now by this fire. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated."
Klado - House of Brigadeiros. "We have taken the traditional Brazilian chocolate truffle (Brigadeiros) and reinvented it."
The Vegan Warehouse — "Hoboken residents Carl and Ewelina Augustin founded The Vegan Warehouse (an online marketplace for vegan fashion and beauty products) in 2017 and began out of Ewelina & Carl’s apartment in Hoboken. In 2018 we moved into the Chambord Place building, and it has been home to our office and warehouse space for the past three years.
"At this time we’re trying to source funds to be able relocate our office & warehouse, secure new inventory and retain our small but mighty staff. All of our inventory, which we’ve spent years building up and investing in, is held up inside with no access and no answers. Especially during the height of holiday shopping, this is devastating for our business."

Two Lives Lost
The Hudson County Prosecutor's Office says the county arson unit is investigating the fire and seeking more information.
They identified on Tuesday one of the victims: Rosemarie Vos, 60. A 61-year-old man was also lost. The Prosecutor's Office would not say Tuesday where Vos lived or if she had a business in the building.
The fire at 38 Jackson St. in Hoboken — which houses the Chambord artistic wallpaper company and other small businesses, but no residences — began around midnight, officials said.

The Hudson County Prosecutor's Office released this information late Monday night:
"On Monday, Dec. 20, at approximately 12:20 a.m., a Hoboken Police Officer while on patrol heard a loud explosion in the area of Jackson Street in Hoboken. First responders to the area found an active fire in a warehouse located at 38 Jackson St.
"The Hoboken Fire Department responded and was assisted in extinguishing the fire by the Jersey City Fire Department and the North Hudson Regional Fire and Rescue Department. The fire damaged several surrounding buildings and several of the building sustained severe water damage. The investigation into the origin and cause of the fire is pending.
"During fire suppression activities, firefighters found two victims in the warehouse. They were pronounced dead at the scene. The cause and manner of death of the victims are pending the findings of the Regional Medical Examiner’s Office.
The Regional Arson Task Force is actively investigating this incident with assistance from the Hoboken Fire Department and Hoboken Police Department. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office at 201-915-1345 or leave an anonymous tip on the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office website at http://www.hudsoncountyprosecutorsofficenj.org/homicide-tip/. All information will be kept confidential."

The building is in the southwest corner of town, near the Jersey City border.
JerseyDigs had reported last summer that a developer was in the process of purchasing the property.
The three-alarm blaze was put out by morning, and some streets were temporarily closed as responders cleaned up.
