New Jersey Biker Crashes Near Holland Tunnel, Traffic Stopped

JERSEY CITY, NJ — A Jersey City motorcyclist was taken to the hospital after suffering a shoulder injury during a crash at the Holland Tunnel on Wednesday morning, authorities say.

According to the Port Authority of NY/NJ, officials held up all traffic after receiving word about a motor vehicle accident in the South Tunnel around 9 a.m. Officials held all traffic until EMS responders transported the 39-year-old man to Bellevue Hospital in New York.

Workers cleared the roadway and traffic was moving with heavy delays around 9:45 a.m., authorities said.

Police didn’t issue any summonses during the incident, authorities stated.
