NJ Residents Respond To Kanye West's Dis Of Hoboken Women With Lyrics Of Their Own
After Kanye West dissed Hoboken women in a new song called "Problematic," Patch readers from around New Jersey submitted lyrics in response.
HOBOKEN, NJ — Rapper Kanye West recently engaged in wordplay about Hoboken women in his new song, "Problematic." After Hoboken Patch published a story about the song — inviting readers to submit their own lyrics in response — they sure did.
The rapper recently held listening parties for his album "Vultures," revealing the lyrics of the song: "Every day in New Jersey, on my way to New York / I was late to every meeting in my Queens tunnel / But all the hoes in Hoboken know / If I seen you outside with the open-toes / You might get a trip to the Poconos."
While the lyrics show the rapper to be quite generous — it's not every day a gal gets a fancy trip across the Delaware Water Gap — Patch readers provided some lyrics of their own for a potential rap battle.

"Bro sad for you— had to come to Hoboken to get inspired? / Looking into the Hudson - Ye you should of thought bout Humping or something. / Hoes is all you came up with / Dammm dude your mom would be proud / looking down from the clouds / smarten up Ye ye — rewrite the script / and as for Hoboken Hoes that’s a crock of Sh*t. / But I get it ... it’s all in your mind — sad Ye, cause Hoes is all that walks by your side."

She signed it, "63 year old Senior. Born and raised and still living and loving Hoboken. Bitch!!!!!"
By the way, some of us also know that Hoboken senior as the "Hot Dog Lady." (IYKYK.)
Anyway.
A manager for a rap artist named La Reezy from New Orleans sent a link to a song praising Hoboken as "utopia," inspired by a visit the rapper made last year to the mile-square city to visit a friend who had a baby.
The dreamy ditty starts with the rapper extolling the chicken and waffles at Zack's restaurant.
It's a pretty good song, so why not head over here to listen and support La Reezy from the Big Easy?
Meanwhile, a woman named CM, who used to live in Hoboken, sent this message:
"I’m a OG of Hoboken born & raised. My response/lyric to Kanye would be:
Well Kan-ye, Ye or Yeezy u might want to take it Ez. Ain’t no Hoes in Hoboken the only Hoes u know is the ones you rollin wit. U lived in Hoboken for a minute now u done lost your mind Kanye u might want to get wit it."

Another reader, Paul B., submitted: "Look at you, you are ten, Where you from — Hoboken?"
And someone sent a link to this song called N.J. on Spotify, saying it mentions Hoboken.
If you submitted a rap and we missed it, just send it again.
