Hobokenites know the city has plenty of pizza parlors. You might have been to a few of them and even have a favorite. But for the new resident, visitor, tourist or longtime resident looking to try a new place, here are some of the best pizza restaurants in the city.
Most of these pizzerias also serve a variety of subs, sandwiches, and other Italian dishes. Many are open late and deliver, so check the hyperlinked listings for details.

- Start with what could be the biggest slice in the city, served by , which has been operating since 1968. The restaurant is a Hoboken landmark, as its walls display framed photos of celebrities who have visited, including Scarlett Johansson and Lenny Kravitz. If you come during the day you might see Benny himself holding court at the front table. You'll recognize him - he's the guy next to the famous people in the photos.
- There are plenty of other pizzerias that have built a reputation stretching decades, including , 254 9th Street, which has been family owned and operated since 1962.
- Grimaldi's, the award winning local chain, has two locations in Hoboken, one at , the other . Both use a coal brick oven. The Clinton Street location is a great for take-out, while the Washington Street one has a bar and plenty of seating for large parties.
- If you're shopping along Washington Street uptown, consider at 6th Street and , at 8th, both corner locations with plenty of outdoor seating; , on 11th, which offers live music during the week, and , also on 11th.
- Downtown on Washington you can choose from on 4th and on 1st. Or swing westward on 1st and hit the .
- On the west side of the city you can find , 502 Jefferson Street and on the corner of Jackson and 3rd Streets.
- The pizzeria closest to the geographic center of the city is on the corner of Garden and 8th Streets.
- If you're hungry coming back on the Path train after a night out, visit the , 100 Hudson Street and , 55 Newark Street.
- After treating the kids to a fun day at Church Square Park, visit , 342 Garden Street.
