Pedestrian Hospitalized In Serious Condition After Hit-And-Run In Downtown Jersey City
A 35-year-old Jersey City man was hospitalized with serious injuries after being hit by a car in a heavily traveled area of downtown.

JERSEY CITY, NJ — The Hudson County Prosecutor's Office is seeking the driver in a hit-and-run crash that seriously injured a pedestrian in downtown Jersey City on Monday, May 15, prosecutors said.
They said that at approximately 12 a.m., the Jersey City Police Department was notified of a pedestrian struck in the area of Newark Avenue and Coles Street, a heavily traveled area with many businesses.
Officers located a 35-year-old Jersey City resident with serious injuries at the intersection.

"The striking vehicle did not remain at the scene," prosecutors said.
The man was taken to Jersey City Medical Center, where he is currently in critical but stable condition, prosecutors said.

The Hudson County Regional Collision Investigation Unit and the Jersey City Police Department
