HOBOKEN, NJ — As Season 42 of the popular CBS series "Survivor" continues, the oldest current cast member — retired Hoboken Fire Department Battalion Chief Mike Turner, who was 57 during filming — shared what he called a "secret scene" on his social media over the weekend.

After he shared it, fellow "Survivor" cast members said it might help viewers better understand how difficult the competition really is.

In the scene, which Turner posted on Twitter, the Hoboken resident and the other cast members talked about what it was like to be outside in a torrential rainstorm the previous night. Turner shows the camera how wrinkled his skin is.

"So it rains last night, and this is what happens," he says. "I'm 57 years old and I'm already like a raisin. So now I'm like 87 with these fingers. I think at times, it's been extremely difficult for people."

Rick Devens, from season 38, responded to the Tweet on Saturday, "It’s so wild how the rainy nights are the worst thing in the game BY FAR, the worst nights many of us castaways will ever have, but on the show they barely get shown and viewers are like… it’s not that hard."

"Night 3 made me hate Survivor," shared Gavin Whitson. "Longest night of my life."

"I do wish they'd show a little more for the casuals who think this is fake or not that bad though," says another commenter.

Turner, a lifelong Hoboken resident, has followed the rules and stayed mum about what happens during the rest of the season. But he spoke out in a video before the season started. READ MORE: Hoboken Firefighter To Compete On Survivor

"Everybody says they'd run into a burning building and pull a person out," he said in his intro video earlier this year. "But you never know what you're going to do until you're in that moment. So hopefully I'm prepared to adapt."

He's the oldest of this year's cast by 10 years.
