Shooting Near NJ Transit Station In Hoboken, None Injured
Police are investigating a shooting that took place near a NJ Transit light rail station in Hoboken on Friday night.

HOBOKEN, NJ — Police are investigating a shooting that took place near a NJ Transit light rail station in Hoboken on Friday night, authorities said. Officers from Hoboken, NJ Transit, Jersey City and Union City responded to the incident.
Nobody was injured during the shooting, which took place around 8:30 p.m. near the 9th Street station. An investigation is ongoing, a NJ Transit spokesperson said.
Hoboken Police Chief Ken Ferrante said that officers responded to a call of shots fired shortly after 8 p.m.

“Those who were shot at ran into Hoboken and our uniformed officers and detectives under Det. Sgt. Mecka stopped them and brought them to police headquarters,” Ferrante said.
He added that nobody was struck by any bullets.

NJ Transit issued the below alerts via Twitter about "police activity" in the area on Friday night.
HBLR Tonnelle Avenue Service is bypassing 9th St. in both directions and subject to 15 minute delays due to ongoing police activity.
