Stickers Are New Thing In Art: See The Machine At 'Jersey Art Book Fair' In Jersey City
The "Jersey Art Book Fair" starts Saturday in Jersey City. Among the features will be a machine selling NJ artists' stickers.

JERSEY CITY, NJ — There are many ways to make your mark in art. Sometimes you want to show off your design on a small medium, but with a big audience.
Stickers have become popular among artists recently, selling in shops like Jersey City's Word Bookstore and in a sticker machine that moves around the state. The portable sticker machine is the latest project from Jersey-based artist and author Kerri Sullivan, the founder of Jersey Collective.
The Jersey Collective sticker machine will be among the features at this weekend's "Jersey Art Book Fair" in Jersey City, which runs through Sunday evening.

The "Jersey Art Book Fair" (JAB) is run by Dense Magazine, a Jersey-based design magazine. The fair will include more than 60 exhibitors, including "Book artists, zine makers and small press publishers across genres and subjects," they say.
Publishing meets graphics in this one-of-a-kind fair at Mana Contemporary, 888 Newark Ave.

"People interested in visiting the machine should plan to bring quarters with them if they can," Sullivan said. "There is more info on our website about how artists can submit their work for future series and how businesses can host the machine for pop-ups."
Tickets for both days of the fair and the Saturday night party start at $20, with tickets for just the event selling for less. Find out more and get tickets here.
