Suez Water Emergency Repairs Leave Some Hoboken Taps Dry

Emergency repairs were made on Clinton Street, officials said. Hoboken police/OEM and Suez workers were on the scene.

HOBOKEN, NJ — Emergency repairs on the part of Suez Water left some Hoboken residents’ taps dry on Sunday, officials reported.

According to city officials, the “emergency repairs” were made on the 700-block of Clinton Street. Hoboken police, OEM and Suez workers were on the scene.

“Due to emergency road work at 7th & Clinton, the intersection will be temporarily closed heading north,” Hoboken officials wrote. “Please plan an alternate route.”

Suez Water issued the following statement about the repair work:

“Work on Clinton Street in Hoboken is causing temporary service interruptions for some residents. We appreciate your patience while we complete these necessary repairs.”

On Sunday, when a social media user asked the company what the estimated time of restoration was, Suez Water offered the following reply:
