Apple TV Series Now Filming In North Jersey: 'Before' Starring Billy Crystal, Others
An Apple TV+ limited series, "Before," starring Billy Crystal, Judith Light, and others, is filming around Hoboken through Thursday.

HOBOKEN, NJ — A Paramount TV series, "Before," starring Billy Crystal, Judith Light, and Rosie Perez, was seen filming in Hoboken Wednesday and will continue through Thursday, according to information sent to neighbors.
On Wednesday, the crew was inside a brownstone on the 900 block of Hudson Street filming.
Production of the show, which will debut on Apple TV+, was delayed last June due to the writers' strike, according to news reports.

Deadline describes the series as: " a 10-episode atmospheric, character-driven psychological thriller about Eli (Crystal), a child psychiatrist who, after recently losing his wife, Lynn (Light), encounters a troubled young boy who seems to have a haunting connection to Eli’s past." Crystal's character digs in to Light's own past and finds that perhaps her death was not what it seemed.
The thriller is written by Sarah Thorp and directed by Adam Bernstein.

Letter Sent To Hoboken Neighbors
A letter sent to neighbors from Paramount says that filming will occur 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. both days, on blocks bounded by Ninth Street, Tenth Street, Washington Street and Frank Sinatra Drive (along the north waterfront).
"Our production will make ever effort to minimize our impact on the neighborhood and to accommodate residents and businesses while filming," they wrote.
Last year, several movies and TV series were filmed around town, but residents questioned whether the companies were giving back to the town, considering several blocks of parking were taken up. A measure sponsored by Councilman Phil Cohen was approved to address the issue.
