HOBOKEN, NJ — Police offered more details Monday about the arrest on Friday night of two men and a teenage boy at an outdoor gathering.
Police said that around 11:41 p.m. on Friday night, Sgt. Luke Zeszotarski responded to the area of Fifth and Jackson streets on a report of "a loud group and music coming from a white vehicle in the area."
Police said that when he arrived, he saw a white Honda parked illegally in the crosswalk.

As Zeszotarski requested credentials from the driver, Elijah Scott, 20, of Hoboken, "he detected movement in the rear seat through the heavily tinted rear side window," police said.
Zeszotarski told Scott to lower the window. He noticed a 16-year-old boy in the back seat. He shined his flashlight in and saw a black handgun on the floor.
Zeszotarski exhibited his firearm and told the other police there was a gun. The backup officers also exhibited their guns and "maintained control of the scene."
All three occupants were removed one by one and placed under arrest without further incident.
Police said they removed a .32 caliber revolver that was defaced with spray paint over the serial number.
They arrested Elijah A. Scott Jr., 20, of Hoboken; Xavier Borges, 19, of Jersey City, and a 16-year-old boy.
Police said that all three were charged with: Possession of a Weapon for Unlawful Purpose, Unlawful Possession of a Weapon, Possession of a Defaced Firearm, and Possession of a Firearm by a Minor.
In addition, both Scott and Borges were charged with Endangering the Welfare of a Child, police said. And Scott received a motor vehicle summons for allegedly parking illegally in a crosswalk.
Both Scott’s and Borges’s charges were placed on warrants and they were transported to the Hudson County Correctional Facility. The 16-year-old juvenile was remanded to the Morris County Juvenile Center.
Police Chief Ken Ferrante wrote on Twitter on Sunday morning: "This was outstanding work by @HobokenPD."
Defendants are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
