Watch for scammer contractors

For the past several weeks, scammers have been making the rounds in Hoboken posing as home improvement contractors. They will knock on your door and claim to be in the neighborhood working on another house. They will hand you a legitimate appearing card with photos of workmen repairing roofs or steps. The card will say they are licensed, but they are not. Some of their “cards” list an address —— if you go to that address, you will find no such business exists.

Beware — they are crooks!
