West New York Doctor Treats "Hip Pain' in Runners
Hip pain injuries in runners, are on the rise in West New York.
With the Spring weather clearing up and the sun shining outside more and more people are choosing to exercise outside rather than going inside to a gym and running seems to be the exercise of choice for most people.
Although running still remains as the most basic of sports, it is still troubled with a plethora of lower limb injuries.
What I have seen mostly of lately in my office here in West New York are runners who have been suffering with hip pain. And although it is not the most common complaint it often manifests as a gradual worsening of symptoms.
Unfortunately because the hip joint is so complex this means that about 30% of hip pain problems are left undiagnosed. As a result runners do not get the correct treatment and most doctors fail to target the issue directly. This ends up resulting in a reoccurrence of the same ol’ problem or worse yet, on-going impairment which comes from not fixing the primary cause.
Making sure that you find a doctor that looks at the relationship of your running biomechanics such as your stance, gait, foot strike and even the fit of your running sneakers and how it relates to the hip joint is of utmost importance.

What I like to give my patients here at my chiropractic office in West New York is a complete regimen of stretches and exercises that will help balance the body and keep ligaments and tendons properly stretched out prior to running. I also like to give my patients valuable advice on rehabilitation and prevention as well as a programs for returning back to running if you have been injured.
If you find yourself a victim of a running injury make sure you find a doctor that is equipped to treat and rehabilitate athletes with injury to the complex hip joint.
