Flood Watch In Effect For Hudson County Until Midnight: NWS

"Rainfall totals of 2 to 3 inches possible," the NWS says in its flood watch. See links below to radar and high tide times.

HUDSON COUNTY, NJ — The National Weather Service issued a flood watch for Hudson County from 11:25 a.m. Saturday, May 20 through midnight.

The NWS said, "Rainfall totals of 2 to 3 inches possible across the watch area through midnight, with locally higher amounts, possibly nearing 4 inches at a few locations."

The area also includes eastern Bergen and Essex counties.

Last month, three days of rain caused flooding throughout North Jersey. Near the Hoboken/Jersey City border, a couple with a baby had to be rescued from their car by the Fire Department.

Similarly, the past week has included mild temperatures and sunshine — and all good things must come to an end.

However, Sunday will be mostly sunny, unlike the three-day downpour that dumped more than 3 inches in the region last month.
