HOBOKEN, NJ — Hoboken's Housing Authority will celebrate its third HHA Hall of Fame event next month, "a flagship initiative dedicated to addressing and preventing youth violence by highlighting alternative paths to success and leadership in our community."

Scheduled for Dec. 13, 2023 at 6 p.m., the event will take place at 221 Jackson St.-Monroe Gardens. The organizers promise "an evening filled with inspiring testimonies and success stories from former residents who have overcome challenges and emerged as leaders."

This year's event will feature speakers Ricardo Figueora, Evelyn Mercado, and Assemblywoman Annette Chaparro.

"These influential individuals will share their experiences, showcasing the potential for positive change in the lives
of young people," organizers said.

HHA Policy and Outeach Specialist Corinne Richmond expressed excitement about the event, stating, "With the HHA Hall of Fame now in its third edition this year, we're proud to see the ongoing impact it has on our community. It's not just an event; it's a testament to the resilience and determination within our neighborhood."
