Jersey City Woman Charged With Hindering Arrest Of Suspect In Hoboken Homicide
A Jersey City woman has been charged with hindering the arrest of a man in the fatal shooting of Hoboken's Chris Garcia.

HUDSON COUNTY, NJ — A Jersey City woman has been accused of providing false information to law enforcement to prevent the arrest of Deon Williams, who was arrested on Saturday in connection with the fatal shooting of Christopher Garcia in Hoboken.
Demetria Huggins, 38, was charged Saturday with third-degree hindering apprehension, the Hudson County Prosecutor's Office said.
Prosecutors said the charge was a result of providing false information to law enforcement.

She was arrested Saturday at a hotel on International Boulevard in Elizabeth.
That's the same place where Deon Williams, 25, of Jersey City was arrested this weekend and charged with first-degree murder in the death of Christopher Garcia of Hoboken in September.

Williams was arrested Saturday by members of the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office Homicide Unit and the United States Marshals Service of New York/New Jersey Regional Fugitive Task Force.
Besides murder, he was charged with unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, and unlawful possession of a weapon.
He was taken to the Hudson County Correctional Facility pending his first court appearance.
Demetria Huggins was also taken to the Hudson County Correctional Facility on Saturday.
On Sunday, Sept. 25, at approximately 3:25 a.m., the Hoboken Police Department received a 911 call reporting a shooting in the area of 560 Marshall Drive.
Officers found Garcia, 28, with an apparent gunshot wound to the torso. He was taken to Jersey City Medical Center and pronounced dead at approximately 3:56 a.m.
Friends of Garcia — who was engaged to be married and had started a fashion design business — have said he was shot after attempting to break up a fight. READ MORE: Fundraiser For Slain Hoboken Man Exceeds Goal
