Yes I Do! To Reopen With New Look

, the custom invitations and designer gift shop located at 312 Washington Street, is currently being remodeled.

Owner Susanna Battaglia said the decision to renovate came about both as a way to modernize the interior, and also to celebrate a ten-year anniversary in that location.

"It was time," Battaglia said. "And it's a way to celebrate our ten years here."

Battaglia said when she opened she kept the same floor plan she inherited from the previous tenant, including the location of the cash register. The new Yes I Do! will have a different layout that Battaglia said should make the store operate more efficiently and look larger.

Battaglia is refurbishing all of her current shelving and furniture, including adding legs to certain cabinets and enhancing the molding on other fixtures. She also plans to bring in more tables to feature new merchandise.

"We've recycled absolutely everything," she said.

The store will also have a new color scheme. Battaglia is replacing the current yellow and green pattern. Hobokenites will be able to see the new colors, right now a surprise, when Yes I Do! reopens as planned on November 08.
