1 Of 2 State Ballot Proposals Shot Down By New Jerseyans: AP
The propositions relate to college sport betting and non-profit gaming in the Garden State. See how NJ voted:

NEW JERSEY - Amid a razor-thin governor’s race, New Jersey voters were decidedly sure about two key proposals that appeared on this year’s ballot, according to preliminary tallying by the Associated Press.
The first proposition concerns the expansion of sport betting into college games in New Jersey or involving Garden State universities.
As of 10:08 a.m. on Wednesday, the proposal gained 1,060,201 no votes, or 56.62 percent of the total vote, according to the AP. 812,415 yes votes were cast, or 43.38 percent of the vote.

The second proposition would amend non-profit gaming, allowing Garden State-based organizations to raise money using raffles, bingos and other chance games (currently, only veterans and senior citizen groups may use proceeds from chance games). The AP projects the ballot question to pass with a yes vote.
As of 10:09 a.m. on Wednesday, the proposal gained 1,183,973 yes votes, or 64.19 percent of the vote, per the AP. 660,407 no votes have been cast, or 35.81 percent of the vote.
