HAZLET, NJ — An iconic New Jersey ice cream shop is set to open a new Bayshore location.
Jersey Freeze, which currently has open stores in Freehold, Colts Neck, Holmdel and Old Bridge, is aiming to open a new Hazlet location in Spring 2027.
In an online post, store owners said that since Jersey Freeze has started its expansion, the Bayshore has been one of their most requested areas, and that they're "excited to finally make it happen."
"Hey, Bayshore! You asked. You asked again. You asked some more. Well, here you go— HAZLET, New Jersey, we're coming!" store owners said. "We're aiming to open in spring 2027, bringing our legendary soft serve, amazing ice cream cakes, packaged treats, and the community spirit that makes Jersey Freeze so special."
"We've got an amazing group of guys who know and love the area, and we couldn't be happier to have them bringing Jersey Freeze to Hazlet."
The new Jersey Freeze location will open at 3091 Route 35, Hazlet.
Store owners are encouraging residents to follow their Hazlet page for updates.
The announcement of Jersey Freeze's new Hazlet location follows recent expansion updates in Hamilton, Shrewsbury, Old Bridge, and Colts Neck.
Since 1952, the shop has been known as a spot for community gatherings, soft serve ice cream and a local establishment that helps support local schools, youth sports, first responders and more.
Jersey Freeze in Hazlet will mark the shop's seventh New Jersey location.
