Anthony Scaramucci In Holmdel Tuesday, June 5

Breaking: Scaramucci will be talking today at a business expo at Bell Works hosted by the Orthodox Jewish Chamber of Commerce.

HOLMDEL, NJ — The Mooch is in Holmdel today. Anthony Scaramucci, who famously was the White House communications director for about a week last year before he was fired, will be in Holmdel Tuesday, June 5, where he will give a talk at Bell Works.

Scaramucci will be giving a discussion at a business exposition hosted by the Orthodox Jewish Chamber of Commerce, according to an announcement on the group's website: https://www.jbizexpo.com/confe... Today's event, called JBiz Expo and Conference, is open to the public to attend.

Scaramucci has always had close ties to the Orthodox Jewish community, which by and large supports President Donald Trump. "He’s a very close personal friend of mine," Duvi Honig, president of the Orthodox Jewish Chamber of Commerce, told the Asbury Park Press. "We’re very close, very tight, and he shares our passion, our mission. And we were honored to have him as a businessman."

Honig, who lives in Lakewood, is a supporter of President Trump. He was invited to both the new U.S. embassy opening in Jerusalem and the White House Hanukkah party, both of which he attended.

Scaramucci was famously fired last year as White House communications director after The New Yorker published an explicit interview with him that he later said he thought was off the record.

Since he was fired, Scaramucci has returned as managing director of the hedge fund SkyBridge Capital, which is hosting today's event in Holmdel. Scaramucci is the keynote speaker.

The Orthodox Jewish Chamber of Commerce is non-partisan, Honig said, and supports economic development in New Jersey, the U.S. and Israel.

"I don’t know if you’ve ever met Anthony, but he’s very different than what the media made him look like," Honig told the APP. "He’s a great person. He’s a lovable person. He’s down to earth. He has great values. And he’s really passionate and cares about everyone."
