During the 1890s, several famous thoroughbred horses trained at Gideon & Daly's race track and breeding stable.
In 1913, Henry Cross purchased the property to grow potatoes.
In 1979, Holmdel Township purchased it and converted the farm into the recreational Cross Farm baseball and soccer fields that we have now.
