Hazlet Man Charged With Drug Possession and DWI

Alan Rodriguez crashed into a Dunkin' in Old Bridge leading up to his Monday evening arrest, according to a My Central Jersey report.

OLD BRIDGE, NJ – A Hazlet resident was arrested and charged with drug possession and driving under the influence on Monday evening. Alan Rodriguez, 34, crashed his car into a Dunkin’ in the Laurence Harbor section of Old Bridge leading up to the arrest.

An officer responded to the crash at approximately 9:07 p.m. when Rodriguez reportedly fled the scene on foot and was caught, according to a report by My Central Jersey. The Hazlet resident did not report any injuries at the scene, but did complain that he was unable to breathe, per the report. He was later treated at Raritan Bay Medical Center in Old Bridge.

Rodriguez was charged with possession of drugs and driving while intoxicated. He was also issued several motor vehicle summonses. Rodriguez was later transported to the Middlesex County Adult Correction Center in North Brunswick.
