Holmdel Board of Education Holds Reorganization Meeting

HOLMDEL, NJ - The Holmdel Board of Education held its 2017 Reorganization meeting this past week. The three new Board members were sworn in and the next meeting date was changed due to the Monmouth County Reliability Project:

• The three newly elected board members took the Oath of Office and officially joined the Board. They are: Lori Ammirati, Chiung-Yin Cheng Liu and Michael Sockol
• Joseph Hammer was unanimously elected to continue to serve in the role of president of the Board.
• Peter Reddy was unanimously elected to serve in the role of vice president of the Board.
• The Board accepted public comment regarding the status of the JCP&L Monmouth County Reliability Project (MCRP). As a result, the board chose to postpone its January 25 meeting to February 1 in an effort to provide board members and members of the public with the opportunity to attend the only public hearing in front of an Administrative Law Judge regarding the MCRP which is planned. The hearing is currently scheduled for January 25 at 7 p.m. at Middletown High School North.
