Holmdel Boys Tennis Team at the Top of Their Game
The 2011 Central Jersey Group 3 Champions will try to win the group title later this week.
As part of Central Jersey Group 3, the Holmdel Boys Varsity Tennis Team won the NJSIAA State Sectional Final today vs. Hopewell Valley, qualifying for the next round of NJ State Group Championships.
After a bye in the first round of the Sectionals, Holmdel shut out Burlington Township 5-0 in the quarterfinal, shut out Princeton 5-0 in the semifinal, and won 4.5 -.5 over Hopewell Valley.
They start the first rounds of the Group Championships Thursday morning in Mercer County Park and will play either Montville, Millburn ranked No. 6 in the state, or Moorestown ranked No. 15.
