Holmdel Officers Assist Middletown PD In Stolen Vehicle Pursuit
Multiple Holmdel police officers aided Middletown police on Oct. 18 in pursuit of a stolen Range Rover on Route 520 fleeing towards Holmdel.

HOLMDEL, NJ - Multiple Holmdel police officers aided Middletown Police on Oct. 18 in pursuing a stolen Range Rover on Route 520 fleeing towards the Holmdel border.
According to a Sunday evening social media post, the Holmdel Township Police Department assisted Middletown Police following a report of a stolen Range Rover on Route 520 heading towards the Holmdel border on Oct. 18 around 5:40 a.m.
Holmdel officers stopped the Range Rover as well as a stolen Lincoln at Route 520 and Middletown-Lincroft Road in Middletown. The Range Rover subsequently collided with the Lincoln and fled the scene.

The driver of the Lincoln, identified as a 20-year-old Irvington resident, fled on foot but was apprehended soon after.
As of Oct. 20, the stolen Range Rover has not been recovered and the driver has not been arrested.

“Please continue to be vigilant, secure your vehicles and report suspicious activity,” Holmdel police wrote in the post.
Earlier in October, two Monmouth County men were linked to approximately 100 vehicle burglaries in Monmouth County between April and June 2020, according to the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office.
