Holmdel PD: Teen Attempted Car Break-In In Broad Daylight

HOLMDEL, NJ — A possibly juvenile or young adult man tried to break into a car parked in a Holmdel driveway at 10:45 a.m. Monday, according to Holmdel police.

Police were called to the area of Donner Street near Longstreet Road for a report of a man who attempted to enter a resident's vehicle. The suspect was described as a young (possibly juvenile) black male wearing a yellow shirt and tight multi-colored long pants.

Police say he walked onto the resident's property and pulled the door handle of a vehicle that was parked in the driveway. The subject then fled the area in a black sedan (possibly Nissan Maxima).

Because the resident had their vehicle locked, no items were taken. Anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has any further information is asked to contact the Holmdel Police at 732-946-4400.
