Man Cuts Leg With Saw In Holmdel
Breaking: A man badly cut his leg with a saw while doing landscaping work Tuesday afternoon in Holmdel, police report.

HOLMDEL, NJ — A man badly cut his leg with a saw while doing landscaping work Tuesday afternoon in Holmdel, local police report.
The man was doing work for the Holmdel homeowner, Holmdel police Sgt. Vincent Imperato told Patch.
At 1:35 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 7 Holmdel police responded to a first aid call on Falcons Ridge Circle for a lacerated leg. Upon arrival, Sgt. William Bernard and Ptl. John Maguire found a 52-year-old man had accidently cut his leg with a saw while doing landscaping work.

The laceration was severe and he was bleeding heavily due to an arterial bleed.
Sgt. Bernard and Ptl. Maguire immediately applied a tourniquet to the man's leg to control the bleeding and applied trauma dressings to the wound. The officers stopped the bleeding and Monoc paramedics and Holmdel First Aid arrived on scene. The victim was stabilized and immediately transported to Jersey Shore Medical Center.
